Lenmed Witnesses a Sustained Decline in COVID-19 Cases
The Lenmed group has noted a strong and sustained decline in COVID-19 admissions over the past weeks. This coupled with the national statistics confirms that the country is over the second wave peak.
Over the past few months, we have experienced the detrimental effect delaying treatment has had on our community members. As we all are aware, the sooner we are able to treat any condition, the better the outcome. We appeal to our communities to not wait in seeking medical care.
The safety of our patients, employees, doctors and community members remains our collective priority and responsibility. The Group continues to ensure all safety protocols are in place, the availability of PPE of the requisite quality and the constant reinforcement of infection prevention protocols throughout facilities. All of this is carefully implemented and monitored while always ensuring the Lenmed spirit of warmth and compassion permeates all that we do. Similarly, we appeal to everyone to continue to diligently adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols such as correctly wearing a mask, practising consistent hand hygiene and always social distancing.
The Lenmed group proudly owns and manages 13 hospitals in three African countries, South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique.
