Bio

Dr Essa is an interventionally-trained cardiologist. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT). His specialist training as a physician and master in medicine was obtained from Wits University, where he went on to sub-specialise in cardiology. He completed the year-long prestigious fellowship in interventional cardiology at Sunninghill Hospital, in conjunction with UCT, where he performed complex coronary and structural heart interventions.
